Introduction to Qi-Gong: Baduanjin and Standing MeditationThis workshop offers an introduction to Qi-Gong, an ancient Chinese practice that integrates gentle movement, breathing, and meditation to support health, balance, and inner awareness. Qi-Gong has its roots in traditional Chinese medicine and philosophy, and is practiced to cultivate and harmonize the body’s vital energy.🫶
We will learn Baduanjin (Eight Brocades), one of the most widely practiced Qi-Gong routines. It is a complete, simple sequence of eight gentle movements that can be practiced daily to improve physical strength, flexibility, breathing, and mental clarity. The movements are slow, accessible, and suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners.🎐
The workshop will also introduce Zhan Zhuang (standing meditation), a still practice that develops posture, relaxation, and internal awareness through quiet standing.🍃
The teaching emphasizes three essential principles: Jing (stillness), Man (slowness), and Song (relaxation). Through these qualities, participants can experience deeper calm, improved body awareness, and a foundation for ongoing personal practice.✨
This workshop is open to all levels. No prior experience is required.
