Welcome to Mythos, the storytelling night in the Mezrab that celebrates the ancient. We go beyond today’s stories by asking a few of our tellers to dive into world myths. Rich and varied as they are, each month we pick a different world tradition, and ask tellers to pick a tiny yarn to dive into. Expect a varied night full of surprises!This edition is a special one! The night is co-programmed by us and the prestigious Holland Festival! We are fans of their work, and they are fans of us, so they decided to bring some of their artists to the Mezrab.
Holland Festival is the largest international performing arts festival of the Netherlands and one of the oldest festivals of Europe. It takes places every year, in June, in and around Amsterdam, at various locations, both indoors and outdoors, both large-scale and intimate, both online and offline. perspectives. Through the
participation of many (inter)national artists, the festival takes you on an adventure, it surprises you and encourages you to think.
The theme of this year is Home/Belonging, which what we will explore as well during the mythos night….
Host of Mythos is the incomparable Sinead O’Brien, herself a great teller of ancient Irish tales.
