Picnic area off Lady Denman (near Scriv Dam) | Canberra, CT
This full moon is the biggest and brightest supermoon of 2024, and the closest to the Spring Equinox. Whilst the full moon is always about release and surrendering what no longer serve us, this full moon also brings in the new beginnings, the rebirth, the fertility of Spring.
Commemorating Kerrie:
This full moon is a special event to commemorate our dear friend Kerrie Carroll. Whilst Kerrie's physical body gave up on 22nd October, her decision to depart ok flight on the 18th. With Kerrie's birthday on the 23rd October, what perfect time to shine the light of the full moon on her life and legacy. Kerrie's philosophy was kindness, in a world you can be anything, be kind. Building the Lucky Stars Sancturary to provide a safe space for all kinds of furry, feathered, scaled and hair friends. A healing and loving place for the animal world to live out their days in harmony, and many a broken human finding their way there to volunteer - and heal in the process. This night, we honour Kerrie. We also honour all loved ones we've lost by their own choice.
A little about this full moon:
With the fiery Aries energy to push you forward, it's the perfect time to put a plan in place - and stick to it! Straighten that crown (think the Emporer in the Tarot!) and step into your sovereign authority. Harness the power of Aries to thrust you forward, you are now on a mission to find our soul’s purpose - this takes commitment, motivation and fearlessness.
Full moon drumming is all about taking time out for you. This is an evening for releasing what no longer serves, it's setting intentions, taking time out, making new friends and sitting and chatting. And absolutely yes, there is drumming... or rattling, chanting, howling, laughing. All instruments welcome, feel free to bring nibbles or drinkies, a blanky or cardy (sometimes it gets cool)... and anything you wish to release.
For this one event, we do ask for a small donation to the Lucky Stars Sanctury, whether $5 or $10 - or more or less. Whatever you can give to help Kerrie's legacy continue. Donations can be made directly to [email protected] or bring some $$ on the night. Gratitude in advance!
This is a kiddo-friendly event. We just ask you to come with a good heart and good vibes.
