This workshop will be exploring the differences of styles of communication between people- friends, relationships, coworkers, etc. A focus will be upon the tools everyone learns very early on, such as blame, use of force, or responsibility denial through language and how this does not serve life. The primary alternative that will be talked about is the importance of feeling and need literacy, and how this connects us to the parts of ourselves and others we long for the most. A part of the workshop may entail explanations of why this language shows up in culture, and the potential for problems it causes in human relationships. It will include a couple group activities, some worksheets/self reflection, and lecture/q&a.
Fundamentally this question aims to explore and answer the question: What kind of world is it that I want to live in?
This free workshop will be outside in our Back 40.

This is free and open to the public.
