Closed Loop Autonomous and Intelligent Fracturing (AIF) Examples of the Importance of Entry Hole Diameter and Flow Velocity on Fracture Unif
About this Event

Gabriel Pedigo

Business Development Manager at Seismos

Abstract:

Hydraulic fracturing operations have historically relied on indirect indicators and post-treatment diagnostics to evaluate stimulation effectiveness and wellbore integrity. Recent advances in non-invasive acoustic sensing now enable continuous measurement of wellbore friction signatures during pumping, providing real-time subsurface insight.

This presentation demonstrates how Seismos Acoustic Friction Analysis (SAFA) can support closed-loop fracturing workflows by converting live friction measurements into cluster efficiency and uniformity. This subsurface intelligence allow operators to make informed adjustments intrastage to improve stimulation uniformity which can lead to +16 MBO/10k feet and 7% additional BOE after 9 months per recent Seismos publications spanning multiple basins and 300 wells.

Biography:

Gabriel Pedigo is the Business Development Manager at Seismos. Since 2019, he has worked with engineering and commercial teams to help operators deploy advanced completion technologies across major unconventional basins globally. His work focuses on enterprise-level implementation of closed-loop fracturing workflows that integrate real-time subsurface intelligence into fleet operations to improve capital efficiency and well productivity. Gabriel graduated first in his class from Louisiana State University, earning the prestigious University Medal with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering and a minor in Mechanical Engineering. He also holds an MBA from Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business, where he was designated as a Rice Business Scholar upon matriculation.
