SPC Media + A&E Subcommittee Meeting - IN PERSON, August 12th

Purpose Statement: The SPC Media Subcommittee was formed to impact responsible reporting on suicide in the media. The subcommittee works on engaging media members through the SPC Media Engagement Plan and responds to news stories through the SPC Media Response Plan. Additionally, the subcommittee holds trainings for Public Information Officers (PIOs) to respond to media requests.

Purpose Statement: The Assessment & Evaluation Committee was formed to track the progress of the SPC efforts and plans. Each year, the subcommittee releases its annual report to the community tracking six key indicators on suicide and suicide behaviors in San Diego County. Data compiled in the Report Card describe the overall status of suicide and key efforts to prevent it in San Diego County.
