About this Event

ABOUT SPARK LEARNATHON

A Learn-a-thon is exactly what it sounds like... a learning marathon. It is a community-driven event where individuals with like-minded interests gather to solve an issue at hand. SPARK's Learn-a-thon is inclusive to all, regardless of having knowledge pertaining to the STEAM field. The key idea is to learn from each other!

Learners will be provided with an overarching problem at hand. Then, each team (4-5 people) will be randomly assigned a form of technology to research in order to apply it to solve the problem. These technologies include but are not limited to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain, etc. Learners will then have the rest of the day to research and apply this technology to the problem and create a "science-fair-like" presentation. During the presentation time, teams are encouraged to walk around and observe how others approached the problem with their technology. At this time, judges will also be making their rounds for potential prizes!

Join us for a fulfilling and engaging experience that will stimulate your problem-solving abilities and encourage you to strive for innovation!
