Join us for SPARK!, a creative engagement program designed for individuals with memory loss and their care partners. In this session, we’ll explore the fascinating history and culture surrounding Genghis Khan and traditions from Mongolia. Participants will learn about the ceremonial Tsam Mask Dance, a vibrant performance that features elaborate masks, music, and symbolic movements rooted in Buddhist culture.
Together, we’ll watch a performance of the Tsam Mask Dance and talk about the meaning behind the colorful masks and characters. Participants will then have the chance to try a few of the dance movements themselves in a fun and welcoming way. To finish the program, everyone will create their own small decorative mask inspired by the traditional designs.
This interactive program encourages conversation, creativity, and shared experiences in a supportive environment.
Cost for participants: Free but participants must register by calling Claudia Damiani at 920.331.9596. Space is limited.
