About this Event
(SYMT) is the flagship music program of the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C., launched in 2022. Created to support and elevate the careers of emerging Spanish musicians, SYMTfosters artistic exchange and professional growth through collaborations with leading U.S. music schools, universities, and festivals.
More than just a performance opportunity, SYMT offers a comprehensive international experience. Participating musicians take part in a dynamic array of complementary activities —including masterclasses, lectures, workshops, and networking events— designed to expand their artistic vision and build meaningful professional connections.
All featured artists are under the age of 33 and winners of the prestigious national award from Juventudes Musicales de España, a distinction that recognizes outstanding young musical talent.

Noè Rodrigo
Noè Rodrigo is a young Spanish soloist whose work focuses on contemporary and newly created music. He is a percussionist with the Asko|Schönberg ensemble and collaborates with various ensembles and orchestras around the world. His career includes extensive experience as a percussion soloist and as an ensemble and chamber music performer, as well as artistic director of music festivals and contemporary music ensembles.
He has been invited to festivals such as Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo, the Granada International Festival, and the Edinburgh International Festival, where he performed as a soloist with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
He has also appeared in France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States, and Spain, performing at venues including the Palau de la Música Catalana, Usher Hall in Edinburgh, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam, the Pierre Boulez Saal, Fundación Juan March, L’Auditori (with the Barcelona Municipal Band), the Euskalduna Palace (with the Bilbao Municipal Band), the Teatro Colón (with the A Coruña Municipal Band), the Teatro Monumental (with the RTVE Orchestra), and the ADDA in Alicante, among others.
Since 2019, he has served as interim professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla y León. In 2023, he released his first solo album under the IBS Classical label.
During the 2025–26 season, he will make his debut with the Real Filharmonía de Galicia, giving the Spanish premiere of Void, a double percussion concerto by Rebecca Saunders.

The best way to arrive is by public transportation. The closest Metro station is Columbia Heights (Green line). Limited metered and two-hour zoned parking is available in the surrounding neighborhoods. Public parking garage is available at DC USA Shopping Mall (Columbia Heights Metro Station).
