In addition to celebrating America’s Semiquincentennial, Shore-line Ringers - a non-profit community handbell ensemble - is cel-
ebrating 20 years since its founding in 2006. For two decades,
we have supported the continued development of handbell ring-
ing as a musical art form while educating audiences and deepen-
ing appreciation and knowledge of handbell music. The ensem-
ble performs on 51⁄2 octaves of Malmark handbells (Bb2-G8) and 6 octaves of Malmark Handchimes (C2-C8) with silver melody bellsadding another dimension to its sound.
The ringers perform varied and challenging repertoire that show-
cases the beauty, versatility, and musicality of handbells. This
season also includes performances at handbell festivals in Man-
hattan, NY, and Boston, MA. We are delighted to share this
unique art form with audiences old and new.
