What happens when we stop looking at a space as a room and start seeing it as an experience?
You're invited to join a small group of Denver's creative partners for a different kind of afternoon one designed to spark curiosity, conversation, and connection.
Spaces Worth Talking In is a curated design observation series that invites us to experience familiar and unexpected places through a different lens.
Novo Ita at Spectra Art Space, an immersive environment where art, technology, nature, and imagination come together.
THE THEME
Designing the Unexpected
Each guest will be assigned a shape and given a simple challenge:
Find your shape.
As we explore the experience, you'll photograph your assigned shape wherever you discover it or wherever something reminds you of it.
A circle might be a portal, a light, or a flower.
A triangle might appear in architecture, art, or shadow.
A rectangle might be something you walk past every day without ever really seeing.
The goal isn't to find the most obvious example.
It's to look at the world around you differently and discover how shapes, patterns, and forms influence the way we experience a space.
Along the way, we'll explore how architecture, art, technology, and design come together to create memorable experiences.
There is no presentation and no pitch.
Just an immersive environment, a small group of interesting people, and a conversation that unfolds as we explore.
WHAT TO BRING
Your phone or camera and a curious eye.
We'll provide the shape assignment and a small reminder to take with you.
AFTER THE EXPERIENCE
We'll gather at GoldFinch after exploring Novo Ita to share some of the photographs we've captured and reflect on what surprised us along the way.
You'll also have the opportunity to share your favorite photograph and a thought from the experience as part of the Spaces Worth Talking In series.
THE CONVERSATION
We'll explore questions like:
What makes a space memorable?
How does the shape of a room change how we experience it?
Where does technology disappear into an experience and where does it become the experience?
What happens when technology, architecture, and art work together?
What will the luxury home of the future feel like?
