About this Event
This summer, join the Birmingham Architectural Association and the Landscape Institute for a captivating evening as we host vPPR Architects for an insightful talk and panel discussion on the transformative potential of urban rewilding through the lens of the innovative Camden Highline project.
Jessica Reynolds, Director at vPPR, will present the vision of the Camden Highline, a considerable endeavour that seeks to repurpose a 1.2km stretch of dormant railway viaduct into a vibrant green artery, connecting Camden Town with King’s Cross. This project stands as a testament to the imaginative reuse of urban infrastructure, transforming it into an ecological corridor and a signature pedestrian pathway that fosters community engagement in a post-pandemic London.
Accompanying her will be a distinguished panel of experts specializing in nature recovery from the Midlands, who will delve into the practicalities of integrating urban rewilding into our projects in Birmingham and beyond.
We invite you to an evening filled with stimulating conversation, delightful drinks, and exquisite canapés in collaboration with the Landscape Institute. The event will take place at The Exchange, Centenary Square, on 17th July at 6:30 PM. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a movement shaping the future of our urban landscapes.
