Welcome to the fourth edition of Space Away sharings on Saturday the 13th of June at 19.00, where dancers and choreographers Ella Östlund, Karin Bergman and Alice Martucci will share elements of what they have been working on during their time as ‘artists-in-house’ the past 5 months. Come and join us this summer evening for some delicate and daring dance and drinks ✨

The unbound remnants, unused intuitions, traces and residues which have appeared or been rubbed off through and in between her work as a dancer for others - have become other fragments of undefined importance and meaning. These fragments will be shared in a setlist type of way, live situation revealed, complex banalities and all, with a question of what it means to synthesise The Now. I imagine you always, dear audience, so as to see and hear what they might be saying.

Locus / Three phrases – by Karin Bergman
A solo dance composed of three phrases that repeats and shifts.
Since 2019, Karin has been making dance phrases inspired by the score Trisha Brown used for her performance ”Locus” in 1975. Another iteration and fragment of this practice will be shared on the 13th of June.

Amulets – by Alice Martucci
In this second phase of my residency at Danseatelier, I returned to the basic questions behind Amulets, asking what transforms dances, objects, and sound into amulets, and how this process can be communicated beyond the practice itself.
For this presentation, I tested my ideas in dialogue with musician and composer Lorenzo Colombo, working over three studio sessions on the encounter between dance and sound, keeping the process open and without a predefined result.
