Perth rapper and producer Sowdy will bringing his latest album, Auteur, to the stage for a live performance at Lyric’s Underground for one night only on November 13.
Auteur showcases Sowdy at his rawest. Sprawling across 13 meditative tracks, the album reflects on life in the artist’s 20s, examining love, loss, grief, pain, joy and trauma through a collection of deeply autobiographical vignettes. Drawing from a variety of musical and cinematic influences, the album’s sonic palette is soulful, textured and layered with an array of genre-bending hip-hop.
The night will be an intimate celebration of art in all its forms, featuring an array of special guests and collaborators who have been part of Sowdy’s creative journey.
