About this Event
"Sovereign Sky" returns to Hastings Museum following a sell out concert in March with the vintage sound of The Wynter Reign alongside singing bowl sequences from The Sound Apothecary for a unique collaboration in the majestic Durbar Hall.
A sonic tapestry of dreamy vocals, Tanpura drones, glockenspiel, singing bowls and vintage guitar /Sitar / Mellotron style pedal effects for a dark November night, celebrating halloween season with songs of darkness and light.

"The psychedelic vintage sound of Glastonbury based band The Wynter Reign is evocative of a late 60's /early 70s soundtrack with haunting melodies which have been described as magical, mystical and enchanting."
The Sound Apothecary is a concept created by Maria Christofi, a graduate of The British Academy of Sound to represent the therapeutic power of sound via the use of singing bowls, gong, drum and other percussion. Previous events include Call of the Jaguar at Hastings Museum as part of Coastal Currents Arts Festival, Hastings Botanical Garden, A Curious Agenda, Sono Electro sound art festival and one to one and group sound ceremonies exploring shamanic and mythological themes.
This concert introduces the concept of a soundbath with laying down tickets as well as seats to make use of the beautiful floor space in the Durbar Hall and to fully immerse in the sound offering a hybrid concert/ sound immersion experience.
Please bring mats, blankets and cushions if choosing a lying down ticket....
