Sovereign AI and Data Integrity Clinic for Regulated WA Organisations
About this Event
For regulated organisations, the question is not only what AI can do, but where your data can safely go and how AI use should be governed.
This practical WA AI Hub clinic is designed for organisations working with sensitive, regulated, or high-value information across health, life sciences, mining, energy, defence, local government, and the public sector.
You will explore practical approaches to data sovereignty, secure AI architecture, and governed AI use cases, using safe examples, structured activities, and human judgement checkpoints. The focus is on turning complex concepts into practical decisions your team can apply.
Who this is for
This session is designed for:
- Regulated industry and public-sector teams
- Team leaders and managers
- AI governance and risk professionals
- Data, technology, and innovation teams
- Local government officers
- NFP and public-interest organisations
- Professionals responsible for secure AI integration
What we will do together
- Set data sovereignty boundaries: Learn how to classify sensitive information and decide what should remain private, local, or excluded from AI tools.
- Define “do not upload” rules: Develop practical boundaries for handling confidential, personal, regulated, or commercially sensitive data.
- Explore secure AI architectures: Understand practical use cases for RAG, local LLMs, and edge AI and where these approaches may fit within regulated environments.
- Design a governed use case: Create a practical AI use-case one-pager covering purpose, data, controls, review points, and escalation pathways.
- Apply human judgement checkpoints: Identify where human review and approval should remain part of the workflow.
What you will take home
- A Data Sovereignty and Do-Not-Upload Guide
- A practical RAG, Local LLM and Edge AI Use-Case Map
- A Governed AI Use-Case One-Pager
- Practical controls and review steps for safer AI integration
Good to know
Please bring your laptop for the practical activities. You may bring examples of general workflows or use cases from your organisation, but do not use confidential, personal, regulated, or commercially sensitive information. No advanced technical background is required. This is a practical professional development clinic focused on secure AI integration, data integrity, governance, and risk-aware decision-making.
