Bid Whist Tournament Quick-Reference

• $100 (per team)
• 30min game

• Players: 4 (2 teams)

• Deck: 52 cards + 6-card kitty

• Hands: 13 cards each (bid winner replaces 6 from kitty)

Goal: Win books and meet the bid.

• Bidding starts at the left of dealer.

• Players may bid or pass.

• Bid = books over 6 + trump suit (Clubs < Diamonds < Hearts < Spades < No Trump).

• Must overcall in value or suit ranking.

• Ends after 3 passes.

• Winner gets kitty and discards 6.

Play

• Follow suit if possible.

• If unable: trump or discard.

• Highest in suit or highest trump wins book.

Scoring (Scoring is based on bids over six.)

• Bid team scores only.

• Make points: +1 per book over 6.

• Fail points: – (bid value).
