Southern Stars brings together the bold voices of composers and singer-songwriters—from lush contemporary chamber works to reimagined beloved songs—in an evening that honours innovation, creativity, and the power of place.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞
This concert features the world premiere of a new work by West Australian composer Katherine Potter, setting poetry by Caitlin Maling. Alongside this premiere, we present Julia Nicholls' chamber reimaginings of works by Stiff Gins, Angie McMahon, and Kate Miller-Heidke, and original compositions by Melody Eötvös, Elena Kats-Chernin, Brenda Gifford, and Jessica Wells.
