About this Event
Across the Southern Oregon Coast, communities are coming together to tackle one of the region's most pressing challenges: housing. Safe, stable housing doesn’t just provide shelter—it fuels economic vitality, supports mental and physical well-being, and strengthens the social fabric of the region. The 2025 Southern Oregon Coast Housing Summit invites you to be part of the solution—bringing together leaders, innovators, and changemakers to explore collaborative strategies, share success stories, and shape the future of housing along the South Coast.
Over two dynamic days, the summit will highlight innovative approaches that are already making a difference. Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) and US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will provide critical insights into state and federal investments, while regional organizations will showcase how partnerships are turning vision into reality. From workforce housing to supportive housing, you'll hear how communities are breaking down silos and building bridges to create a more resilient housing ecosystem.
Attendees will also explore alternative housing models—like shared housing and community land trusts that are expanding affordable housing options across the region. Stories from Yamhill County, who’ve reached Functional Zero homelessness, will inspire new approaches for the South Coast. And, for the first time, the summit will host a dedicated session on the healthcare & housing intersection to improve community well-being.
This year's summit will also feature a panel on Mass Timber Construction that will highlight innovative building techniques that are cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and adaptable to rural communities. And so much more!
But this year’s summit isn’t just about ideas—it’s about action. The North Bend Family Housing and Hope Village ribbon-cutting ceremonies will offer a firsthand look at what’s possible when communities come together to create housing solutions.
Whether you’re a developer, city planner, elected official, healthcare provider, housing advocate, or simply someone passionate about making a difference, this summit offers an unparalleled opportunity to connect, learn, and collaborate. Together, we can build a housing continuum that reflects the resilience and heart of the Southern Oregon Coast.
Come explore the South Coast Housing Continuum with us April 10th & 11th!
