*** Due to the Excessive Heat Warning for Thursday 8/12 (the hottest day of 2021), this concert has been postponed to Thursday 8/26. ***The Southern Dutchess Concert Band will be giving an outdoor concert this evening at Schlathaus Park, sponsored by the Town Of Wappinger Recreation department. The park is located at the intersection of County Route 93/Myers Corners Road and County Route 94/All Angels Road (click on the map above). Bring your lawn chairs and blankets (and masks!): admission is Free.
For all 2021 outdoor events, masks are required for when you arrive, walk around the venue, and depart, but are not required as you watch the performance. Also, please sit apart from other groups at a social distance of at least six feet. Southern Dutchess Concert Band will also be performing safely distanced from each other!
The 60-piece Southern Dutchess Concert Band will be performing a selection of show tunes, popular standards, marches, light classical and wind ensemble music. The Southern Dutchess Concert Band consists of woodwind, brass and percussion musicians from southern Dutchess County and surrounding areas.
