The capital’s largest fun run just got funner! Round the Bays is mixing things up for 2025! We’ve upped the ante with new course options – 8.4kms or 21kms – each packed with entertainment, making the iconic event Wellington’s biggest street party. Get amongst it – move and groove & walk, jog, run or roll from the city around the bays to Kilbirnie Park. Grab your friends, whanau or colleagues for a fun run like no other.

Stuff Events is excited to join forces with Nuku Ora to deliver the largest mass participation event on Lower North Island. A fun day out for all ages and fitness stages!
Welly, we are mixing things up this year. First off, you can choose whether you class yourself as a runner, jogger or walker. Next up is which course you'll tackle.
We've upped the ante with new course options of 8.4km (aka a mash-up of the 5.5km and 10km) - it's super family and fitness-friendly and also allows you to take in the sights of a few more bays.
The new course will kick off at Waitangi Park, and then you take a left-off Evans Bay Parade onto Cobham Drive, past the Troy St roundabout, and then double back at Miramar Roundabout before arriving at Kilbernie Park.
That's where a finisher's medal, a cool drink and the after-party await. For those high-achieving Harry Hard-outs – aka loyalists – the 21km classic is the route you know and love, down to the mm.
