Southampton Warcry Club Presents: Storm in the South

System: Warcry Matched Play

Location: Stronghold Wargames, 46-48 Bevois Valley Rd SO14 0JR Southampton

Missions: Selected from a mix of Matched Play Battleplans from the following packs:

• Warcry Rumble Pack
• Scales of War
• Tidal Pack I

Missions will be revealed on the day of the event.

No. of Games: Four

Warband Selection:

• Each player selects a single 1,000 point warband in accordance with pages 60 & 76 of the Warcry Core Book.
• Monsters, thralls, allies and Bladeborn are all permitted for this tournament.
• Divine blessings are also permitted, but must be clearly indicated and costed in warband rosters and may not by changed between rounds.
• Warbands must be clearly divided into Dagger, Hammer and Shield groups in the warband roster, and the warband's leader clearly indicated.

Lists must be submitted via Wartally by 8pm on 11/10/24. A link to the event on Wartally can be found at the bottom of the 'About' section:

Tools of War: Attendees are expected to bring their warband, dice, a tape measure, all relevant rules publications and a copy of their roster.

Warbands must be painted and based to at least a battle-ready standard - because painted warbands are cooler!

Tournament Format:

The tournament will follow a swiss-style format and will be run using Wartally, an online tournament management website designed specifically for Warcry.

Scoring will follow a Win (5)/Draw (3)/Loss (1) format, and tiebreakers will be determined using K*ll points, then victory points and strength-of-schedule, respectively.

In addition, quests will be in use in this tournament for an added dimension!

Update 21.08.24 - 'Battle Traits', found on pages 38 - 43 of the Briar and Bone Warband Tome may be used at this event. Players must use the same Battle Trait for each game at the event and note it on their Warband Roster.

Awards:

There will be awards for the players who place 1st, 2nd and 3rd on the day as well as an award for 'Favourite warband', voted for by attendees of the event.
