Free evening of classical music offered by the students at Southampton University from the United Kingdom.
The Southampton University Symphony Orchestra (SUSO) is widely recognised as one of the leading student orchestras in the UK.
The orchestra seeks to provide students with the opportunity to study and perform some of the most challenging symphonic repertoire. They take on a full professional programme each term and repertoire highlights in the last couple of years have included symphonies by Mahler Sibelius and Tchaikovsky. In addition to the four concerts a year members enjoy a variety of socials and a European tour.
The Southampton University Symphonic Wind Orchestra (SUSWO) is the only auditioned wind orchestra at the University of Southampton and is open to all woodwind brass and percussion players. They play a varied and challenging repertoire to a high standard giving members the opportunity to perform regularly as part of a talented ensemble.
