A series of monthly online history talks hosted on Zoom and led by Andy Skinner (Learning & Engagement Officer at SeaCity Museum and Tudor House & Garden). All of the talks are designed to be fun, accessible and rooted in the history and archaeology of the city. Each talk will last approximately 1 hour.
During the First World War Southampton was designated the primary port of embarkation for the military. As a result Southampton transformed into a military town and over the next four years every aspect of the town was touched by the conflict in one way or another. Travel back over a century to discover the story of Southampton during the Great War – be prepared for tales of battleships, zeppelins, ambulances, heroism and horses!
