Current USBC rules will prevail if not directly specified in the SWFC rules. Entry into the South-West Florida Classic Youth Tournament is open to USBC Youth Division and Adult Division sanctioned members in good standing. Bowlers must be 21 years of age or younger as of January 1st of the current year to be eligible to bowl in our tournaments. No PBA card holders, National or Regional Tours, will be allowed to participate.

Dress Code for tournaments held in January - November: NO Shorts, Jeans , Denim or Yoga pants permitted at any time. Pants cannot have any outside pockets, such as cargo pants.
a. Acceptable attire for boys is: A collared/mock collared shirt or USBC Youth shirt (sleeveless shirts are not permitted) and pants.
b. Acceptable attire for girls is: A collared/mock collared shirt or USBC Youth shirt (sleeveless shirts are not permitted), pants, skorts, skirts, or Capri pants. Skirts or skorts must be plain without any adornment, such as lace, sequins, ruffles, etc. Skirts or skorts must be at least fingertip length when standing with arms down at sides. Capri’s must extend below the knee. Pants, skirts, skorts or Capri's cannot have any outside pockets, such as cargo.
c. For all bowlers: Hats are not permitted. If there is a medical reason as to why a hat must be worn, please contact the Tournament Director prior to the tournament.

This tournament will be conducted on an average basis of two (2) divisions, REGARDLESS OF AGE. Individual average breakdowns are as follows: Division 1 will consist of Sport Averages of 172 and under or Non-Sport Averages of 199 and under. All bowlers in Division 1 will receive handicap; Division 2 will consist of Sport Averages of 173 and over or Non-Sport Averages of 200 and over. All bowlers in Division 2 will be in the Scratch division. Bowlers may opt to move up in the Scratch division if they request it. This decision needs to be provided to the Tournament director prior to the 1st ball being thrown. Once the 1st ball has been thrown, division declaration is locked, and bowlers may not change. If there is an obvious error in declaration, the Tournament Director may/will update the divisions appropriately. Tournament Director reserves the right to modify the Average Divisions based upon number of entries received.
Tournament limited to 60 bowlers only.

Tournament starts at 10am with check-in starting at 9am.

Entry Fee = $25 for U12, $37.50 for U15, $50 for U18 and U20 for Jr Gold

b. Male participants are required to wear slacks. Slacks must not contain drawstring waists or elastic bottoms. Slacks must have a zipper and a button to be eligible.
c. Female participants are required to wear slacks, or skirts. All skirts must be sufficiently below the competitor’s fingertips when they are standing, and their arms are hanging loosely at their side and must stay that way throughout the tournament. Skirts cannot be rolled up at the waist, or made to be shorter by some other way, during the tournament, or the bowler may be disqualified.
d. Headgear – No covering or sunglasses can be worn while practicing or competing (hats, caps, or bandannas, etc.). Male participants cannot wear any headgear while practicing or competing, unless a request is made in writing and approved prior to the event.
e. Headphones—not permitted by bowlers at any time they are bowling, whether in the bowler's circle or on the approach
Tournament Format
Qualifying Round – Bowl 5 games across 10 lanes. The top 8 bowlers in each division will move to Bracket Round 1 – all previous scores will be dropped.
Bracket Rounds: Consist of one-game matches - total pins with handicap shall determine the winner.
Double-elimination format will be used. A player is eliminated after two losses.
All participants start in the Winners’ Bracket. After losing one match they enter the Contender’s Bracket.
Finals - Top 3 bowlers in each division will be placed in step ladder format.
