Join us for the first 44 miles of the South West Coast Path. The SWCP is a 630 mile National Trail starting in Minehead in Somerset and following the rugged coastlines of Devon and Cornwall before ending up on the south coast of Dorset at Poole. It has been rated one of the best walks in the world by Lonely Planet and best UK walk by readers of Walk outdoor magazine.
Our holiday covers the first section of the path between Minehead and Lee Bay in North Devon covering between 7 and 10.5 miles each day with a total ascent of 3640m. We follow the coastal path along the edges of Exmoor National Park encountering stunning cliffs, seascapes and some beautiful woodland too. There is much to admire and learn along the way from wildlife to geology, from history to literary connections. This section contains some of the highest cliffs of the whole path so expect to be rewarded with tremendous views.
We are based in Dunster in Exmoor, one of the prettiest Medieval villages in England. Private transport is provided each day to the trail. Settle in for the 6 nights with no need to pack up your luggage every morning.
