In today's ever-evolving digital landscape, bolstering the safety and integrity of critical OT environments is crucial. Come join South Texas ISSA to dive into the practicalities of establishing clear boundaries between operational zones and strategies for securing data conduits. Patric Dove (1898 & Co. Solutions Engagement Manager) will cover critical principles, methodologies, and actionable insights for establishing robust security architectures resilient to emerging threats. Attendees will bridge the gap between theory and practice, technology and strategy to enhance the posture of OT security.
Instructor Bio:
Patric has worked the entire cycle of architecture service and technology
delivery from sales contact through R&D and hands-on engineering to final
installation and support. He has 28 years of experience in industrial markets
including oil & gas, chemical, automotive, water/wastewater, power & energy,
and DoD.
Patric’s IT and OT hands-on skillset and intuition span the technical environment
from PLC & HMI programming, motion control and OPC to wired and wireless
networking, servers, workstations, and secure remote access. He is experienced
in industrial protocols such as Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, and Modbus.
Patric is also well-versed in leading OT cybersecurity standards and skilled at
applying strategic change management to the unique needs of clients across
multiple industries. Patric has maintained the Global Industrial Cyber Security
Professional (GICSP) since 2019. He is an ISA/IEC 62443 Certified Instructor and
holds vendor-specific certifications from Armis, Fortinet, and Nozomi Networks.
