Rachel Lowrie’s evocative lyrics breathe life into forgotten myths. South Shore’s sound is ethereal yet deeply rooted in the history of the area. Guitarist Stuart Turner adds atmospheric textures with intricate melodies and soundscapes, while Nick Rice’s bass playing provides the solid foundation that brings their songs to life.
Having played together in different forms within Medway’s vibrant music scene, the band now comes together to create a sound that feels timeless—drawing on the past while looking to the future.

Multi-instrumentalist and folk/indie explorer. Formerly in cult combo Hefner with Darren Hayman, he is now based in North Kent and following his own holistic musical path through the tank-traps and quicksand of the 21st century.
