Financial Positioning for Successful Collaboration
Host: Jackie McLaughlin, Chazin
Info: Collaboration between nonprofits can open the door to real cost savings, but only if you know your own financial picture well enough to see where those opportunities are. In this session, Jackie McLaughlin breaks down what it means to have a solid grasp on your accounting, even if numbers aren't your thing, and how that clarity positions you to identify where shared resources, joint services, or partnerships with other nonprofits could cut costs. Attendees will leave with practical ways to assess their own financial position and a clearer sense of where collaboration could make the biggest impact for their organization.

We're in this Together: Achieving our Missions through Collaboration
Host: Ann Mei Ching, Former CEO Candid
Info: Between funding shortfalls, growing community needs, and ongoing political turbulence, many nonprofits are facing significant strain. Of course, doing more with less is not a sustainable strategy - so we need to think differently. Instead of focusing on preserving our individual institutions, we should collectively focus on achieving our shared missions. This might mean openly sharing resources or infrastructure, exchanging or consolidating programs, or perhaps even going so far as a merger. As a starting point, let's all ask ourselves the question, "what would we do if we were all divisions within the same organization?"
