South Dakota Concealed Carry Class & Live Fire

Feral Female Firearms and Dude Tactical jointly offer a comprehensive South Dakota Enhanced Concealed Carry Permit Course that meets the statutory training requirements outlined in SDCL 23-7-53. This course is designed for responsible citizens who understand that carrying a concealed firearm carries serious legal, moral, and practical responsibility. The course covers South Dakota firearm law, concealed carry regulations, and the lawful use of force — including when force is legally justified, when it is not, and how those decisions are evaluated by law enforcement, prosecutors, and juries. Students will learn the core principles of self-defense and how they apply in real-world scenarios, including the legal distinctions between non-deadly and deadly force, Stand-Your-Ground, and Castle Doctrine laws in South Dakota. The course concludes with a 100-round live-fire handgun qualification, where students demonstrate basic handgun competency in accordance with South Dakota Enhanced Permit requirements. Successful completion satisfies the training requirement to apply for the South Dakota Enhanced Concealed Carry Permit — valid in 36+ states, with all benefits of the Regular and Gold Card permits included. This course is co-taught by instructors from Feral Female Firearms and Dude Tactical, combining law enforcement, medical, and civilian self-defense perspectives to deliver practical, legally grounded instruction.

Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.

Prerequisites: ∙ Basic firearm handling proficiency is required. This course does not cover fundamental handgun skills. Students who are new to firearms should complete a Basic Pistol course prior to enrolling.
