💚 Supporting Greenpeace UK and Planet Purbeck’s hands-on local nature projects
The South Coast Marine Recovery Project is an ambitious, community-led initiative bringing together Wildlife Trusts across Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and Sussex.
From seagrass meadows, kelp forests and native oyster reefs to the fish, seabirds and marine mammals that depend on them, everything beneath the waves is connected. The project aims to reduce the pressures harming our seas, support marine restoration and give coastal communities a leading role in shaping what happens next. (The Wildlife Trusts)
The evening will feature guest speakers from:
Greenpeace
Cornwall Wildlife Trust
Bournemouth University: Professor Rick Stafford
Planet Purbeck
You’ll hear why South Coast marine habitats matter, the threats they currently face and how communities can help create lasting recovery at a scale that truly benefits wildlife and people.
💬 Q&A Session - There will also be an opportunity to ask questions, share your views and speak directly with the experts.
