SCPFC Meeting Information

Day 1 - Field Day:

When: October 23, 2024

Time: 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Registration 10:30 AM, tour starts at 11:00 AM)

Location: Lewis Ocean Bay Heritage Preserve (exact meeting location will be sent prior to the meeting)

Topics: Carolina Bays, Atlantic white-cedar, pocosin ecology, red-cockaded woodpeckers, and fire in wetlands

Lunch: A sponsored lunch will be provided

Cost: $35

Day 2 - Classroom:

When: October 24, 2024

Time: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Registration 8:30 AM, presentations start at 9:00 AM)

Location: Horry-Georgetown Technical College – Grand Strand Campus, Myrtle Beach, SC (950 Crabtree Lane, Myrtle Beach Building 600)

Topics: 20 Years of Sharing the Flame, Reintroducing fire into long unburned Southern ecosystems, air quality, prescribed fire accomplishments, fire in wetlands, and awards

Lunch: A sponsored lunch will be provided

Cost: $85

You may register for either day or both days. CFEs have been requested.
