Sourdough Beyond Bread

Have a sourdough starter but don’t always want to make a loaf of bread? This class is for you!
Sourdough Beyond Bread is an extension of my Sourdough Basics workshops and was created for anyone who wants to learn how to use their starter in everyday recipes outside of traditional sourdough bread.
In this hands-on class, we’ll talk all about sourdough discard: what it is, how to store it, when to use it, and how to make the most of it without feeling like you need to bake a loaf every week.
During class, we’ll make sourdough scones and sourdough crackers together. You’ll learn how discard works in recipes, what types of recipes are the most forgiving, and how to use it in simple, practical ways at home.
This class is great for:
Anyone who has taken my Sourdough Basics workshop
Anyone who already has a starter at home
Anyone who wants to use their starter more often
Anyone who wants sourdough recipes beyond bread
Anyone who has a jar of discard in the fridge and no clue what to do with it
You’ll leave with:
Fresh sourdough scones
Sourdough crackers
Printed recipes
Tips for storing and using discard
Ideas for using starter in everyday recipes
More confidence using your starter beyond the loaf
Guests are welcome to bring their own drink, as this class is BYOB. You are also welcome to bring an apron if you’d like to keep yourself clean during the hands-on portion.
Please note: All ticket sales are nonrefundable. If you are unable to attend after purchasing a ticket, you are welcome to gift or transfer your ticket to someone else.
