Soup Mugs & Berry Mugs Workshop
Advertisement
Learn how to make your own ceramic soup mug--or "berry mug"--by hand! As you make your mug of choice, you will learn various handbuilding techniques with clay.
What is a berry mug, you ask? It's the same size and shape as a soup mug, but with a little strainer on top. Just fill your mug with berries, cover with water, and use the built in strainer to pour the water off. Then your berries are ready to eat! If berries aren't your thing, that's ok. Just skip adding a strainer on top, and you will have a cozy mug for all your soup this fall.
No experience necessary for this beginner-friendly class. Kristin Streilein will teach this workshop. $50 includes all materials ($40 for members). Open to ages 12 and up (ages 12-15 must be accompanied by a participating adult). October 3, 2:00-4:00 pm.
Creations will not be glazed (painted) during this class, but you can come back during one of our upcoming Clay Studio Nights to glaze your creations in your choice of colors (registration for Clay Studio Night required). Clay Studio Night usually happens on the 2nd & 4th Friday of each month. Fee for workshop includes glazing during Clay Studio Night.
