Enjoy a sunset walk as our wildlife begins to settle in for the night. Burton Mere Wetlands is a magical place to be as the sun goes down with the returning pink-footed geese flocking back after a day feeding on the fields and Herons and Egrets heading to their roost. The stage is set for a spectacular evening. Keep your eyes peeled for Peregrine and Marsh Harrier, that often make an appearance in search of an evening meal energising murmuration over the reeds and if we are lucky a barn owl might ghost over the fields. We will listen for bats using detectors once dusk settles in as they start their nightly hunt.
Includes a warming cup of soup and bread roll at the beginning of your walk.
This two- and half-hour walk is aimed at all levels of knowledge, for those that wish to improve their wildlife watching skills and would like to learn more about the fabulous species we have here.
Ticket price includes your reserve entry fee for non-members, you're welcome to enjoy the reserve before the event starts.
You're welcome to purchase tickets for your enthusiastic teenage children, however our guided walk events are not suited to small children.
