Contemporary sound-based artists transform your MCA experience on a select day of the month with custom soundtracks reflecting their perspective of works on view in the museum. DJ sets and bands occupy spaces in the museum as the building itself amplifies their sound constructions.

To start us off for a full day of gathering, collaboration and community, Afrotrak’s Founder & Creative Director Mike Orie, will bring the energy. Known for highlighting worldly sounds such as Amapiano, Afrobeats, and more, Mike has created platforms for belonging using black artistry and sound as a way to build community across the country.

For this Soundtrack, Mike Orie will DJ a set in response to Black x Art. This Soundtrack is organized by Otez Gary, Community Engagement Manager, with the Community Engagement team.
