We’re happy to announce the 5th edition of the Soundscapes Improv Session at Studio Daidarabotchi — a summer opening gathering inside the atelier of visual artist Ryoji Homma 🎨, surrounded by his works and imagery. A quiet, focused space where sound and visual art meet.
Within this setting, music unfolds as a continuous improvisation 🌊🎶 shaped by artists from different backgrounds and cultures.
From the Okujou Beat crew:
Chikara Aoshima 🥁, Izumi Yamamoto, Ulf Lundberg 🎷, ambient guitar by Sota Seo 🎸,percussion and saxophone by Todor Akimov 🥁 and Peter Hanson 🎷, voice and musical storytelling by Paraya Diallo 🌍 Alpine ambient horn textures by Jiu Q 🎺, downtempo set by Florian Rosier and Leo Wieber 🌙 traditional Persian Saz by Pouriya Raisi 🎻 and some drum & bass by Flatomato.
The session is open for guest musicians (short technical registration appreciated) ✨.
Alongside the music: Japanese yakitori 🍢, drinks at the bar 🍹, and a relaxed summer atmosphere. Football screenings (Germany–Curaçao / Japan–Netherlands) ⚽ run in parallel for those moving between sound and sport.
