Sounds of the Night

The outdoors at night can seem a little spooky, unless you know what all those strange thumps, rustles and buzzes are. Come play a game with us to learn some of our common wildlife sounds, then take a short ranger-led night hike. way.

Who is Invited: Open to ages 5 and up; minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. No pets please. This activity includes both a seated activity and a short hike.

Registration, Fees, Day Pass & Cancellation: Registration is required for this hike. Program group size is limited. Sorry, no group registrations.

Registration opens on Saturday, two weeks prior to the event, and closes at noon, the Thursday before the event. Though the hike is free, to the Natural Area apply.

When & Where to Meet: Program begins at 7:30PM.  Meet at the amphitheater. Closest parking is in Lot C.

What to Wear & Bring: Dress for hiking outdoors. Comfortable shoes, sunscreen, bug spray and a hat are recommended. Bring at least 1 liter of water per person. You may want to bring a blanket or portable chair to sit on, as the provided seating is on limestone ledges.
