SOUNDS MADE UP: Real Stories & Improvised Musical Comedy Who says you can’t have fun on a Thursday?
Sounds Made Up is ready to get your weekend started sooner with some outrageous musical comedy. The stories are 100% real and our songs are 100% made-up on the spot. And we’ll have you singing along by the end of the night.
Sounds Made Up carries on the tradition of musical improv by performing a musical assscat, bringing a little bit of New York and Chicago to Norfolk. Each month Sounds Made Up has a new special guest tell hilarious and inspiring stories from their life. Our cast in inspired by those stories and then retells (and maybe exaggerates) what they heard thorough scenes full of comedy and harmony.
Sounds Made Up Is proud to have Hanna Brown as their next guest! Not only is she an AMAZING improviser and performer at Push (You can find her on the first Friday of the month performing in Girl-Prov at Push), she is about to star in Little Theater of Norfolk's production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again]! We absolutely love her, and we know you will too! Hannah will be sharing real stories from her life that will inspire the scenes and song improvised by our performers.
Sounds Made Up is a show featuring two halves full of unwritten, unplanned musical numbers and one brief (10ish minute) intermission. So there’s plenty of time to use the restroom and grab a beverage without missing a beat. So if you’re looking for a dose of music and to hear some incredible, real stories, Sounds Made Up is a show not to be missed.
