Soundpainting: Echoes of a Tale

A compelling live show where theatre, dance, music, beatboxing and live illustration merge into one fluid whole: all created on the spot under the eye of the soundpainter.

Two performers switch effortlessly between conducting and acting, unfolding a single story: about adventure and poetry, about beating hearts and broken dreams, about what makes us who we are. Each protagonist is the background character in someone else's story. Cinematic and immersive — for anyone who wants to be moved, surprised, and occasionally laugh out loud.

An original creation by David Moncada and Gael Doorneweerd-Perry, brought to life in 2025 in Bogotá, Colombia. For the first time in Amsterdam, Flock Theatre brings this unique performance to Zonnehuis, showcasing some of the best international and local artists in a show beyond cultures and languages.

Mainly in easy-English, mixing other languages, music, dance and live illustrations.
