Sacred sound has, for quite some time now, been recognized as a catalyst that accompanies many on their journey to more vibrant energy and a refined sense of well-being.Siri Bahadur offers this course which he has developed over 27 years of experience with sound healing and developing a meditation practice using mantra. He will teach you to use both the gong and the crystal healing bowls so that you get a well rounded environment of the better known tools for relaxation and attunement with your optimum vibratory frequency.
We can assume that a mere 5 hours of training in offering sound sessions will not confer mastery of the instruments, but that time will acquaint us with those sounds on a pleasantly functional level.
Learning the art of playing gongs, bowls and mastering mantra can each take the form of extensive learning and practice. But, with a desire to learn and with applied practice, you will become familiar with the basics of gong and crystal bowl playing to the extent that people will find benefits from the sound sessions that you choose to offer to them. You will find your playing for others also to be a benefit to yourself.
We will spend time learning basic gong and bowl techniques. We will also investigate intoning sacred mantras commonly used for deep relaxation and inner alignment. There will be instruction on holding the space of a healing environment as well as the practice of bringing all of those skills into a coherent vehicle for wellness.
It has been Siri's observation of those who have taken his sound trainings that they walk away with the facility of offering a pleasant and effective sound experience.
You will not need to bring your own instruments, but if you do have them you are encouraged to bring them with you.
Cost: $350 if pre-registered by March 1st and $400 thereafter.
