Root Down is so excited to welcome back Jill Guzman for a restorative sound bath experience! Come and experience the vibration and sound resonance of the gong, crystal singing bowls, chimes, & more.
We will begin with slow gentle movement to prepare our bodies for rest. You do not need to have any experience with yoga. Movement will be appropriate and adaptable for everyone. The only requirement is the ability to get down onto the floor and back up. Next, we will move into a short guided meditation/breathwork practice to prepare our minds as we move into the sound bath.
The sound portion will be the majority of our time, so again, please bring anything that will make you most comfortable. This is where you have the opportunity to practice being and allow yourself to float around the sounds & vibrations of gongs, crystal singing bowls, chimes & rainstick. Science has shown that sound healing can directly affect your brainwaves and nervous system creating balance, restoring wholeness, and supporting relaxation.

What to Bring: a yoga mat, water bottle, blanket, pillow. Dress in comfortable layers that allow for gentle movement. Something to cover your eyes will support a deeper inward experience. It's all about you being comfortable while laying at rest. The majority of our time will be spent on the floor - again, a pillow & blanket are nice:) There will be a limited amount of bolsters and blankets available.
Disclaimer: If you are currently working with a Doctor or Therapist for mental health support, treating epilepsy, or pregnancy care please consult with them if sound therapy is appropriate for you at this time. I am also available to answer any questions that you may have. I will create very intentional space during our time together to best support you and your experience. It is in deep gratitude to all my teachers and students who have inspired me to share with you this experience.
