Sound Bath with Yoga NidraThis blissful 90 minute Sound bath with Yoga Nidra takes you on a journey of deep rest and relaxation.
The class will begin with a dreamy yoga nidra meditation focusing on the body and the breath to help soften and quiet the body and the mind, moving our consciousness into a very calm but receptive state. The state of consciousness yoga nidra guides you into feels something like the moment before you are just about to fall asleep.
We then descend into a journey through different sounds, each carrying specific frequencies and vibrations. They help improve mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing and realign our physical and energetic body, shifting stagnant energy and physical tensions. The instruments used in the session are primarily Tibetan singing bowls. The singing bowls are complemented with koshi chimes, a gong, a frame drum, and a rain stick depending on the needs of the class on the day.
You will leave the class feeling rested and relaxed, with a mind that is calm and quiet.
During the session you will be asked to lie down, there will be no physical movement involved.
Please dress in comfortable, loose clothing, and bring layers. Mats, blankets, bolsters, and eye pillows are available at the studio, but you are welcome to bring anything that you feel could improve your levels of comfort.
Those suffering from epilepsy, who had recent surgery, and pregnant women should check with their doctor first if they can attend.
