Sound as Medicine: A Hands-On Sound Healing Class

Sound as Medicine is an intimate January training offered by Singing Bowls of the Rockies for those interested in learning sound as a felt, experiential practice.

This training approaches sound as medicine—focusing on listening, presence, and relationship with sound. Sessions include hands-on work with singing bowls, listening practices, and guided exploration of sound and vibration, allowing participants to understand how tone and resonance interact with the nervous system and the body through direct experience.

The class is intentionally kept very small, with private or one-student-per-class instruction. This format supports individualized pacing, focused practice, and meaningful integration. The training emphasizes experiential learning rather than performance or certification.

- Aspiring sound practitioners

- Healers, therapists, yoga teachers, and wellness professionals

- Those wanting to learn sound for personal, family, or community use

- Anyone curious about the healing effects of sound and vibration

No prior experience with sound healing or music is required.

Before the training begins, Gigi will personally speak with each participant to understand their background, intentions, and goals. Enrollment begins with a brief conversation to determine fit and availability, and the class format is shaped to support each participant’s experience level and schedule.

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆:

We ask that you please bring a blanket or bedsheet to cover our cushioned floor mats to protect them for long-term use, and another blanket for staying cozy, if you'd like. No yoga mat needed! Please dress comfortably, bring water, and eat beforehand.

For the best experience and to ensure a harmonious start for all participants, we kindly request your timely arrival. Your punctuality is greatly appreciated.

If you have any serious medical condition (i.e. metal in the body brain injury, epilepsy, etc...) make sure you get written permission from your doctor allowing your attendance of a live sound bath. The reason being that some conditions do not take well to the strong vibrations of sound baths. Additionally, please inform Gigi of your condition before joining us at our sound bath, thank you!
