Sound & Sustenance: An Open Mic Food Drive
Hosted by C.M.J. & Third Eye Girl with DJ'ing by Ratliff
We will be putting on a FREE and ALL AGES open mic event that is open to ANY performers who want to come and sign up, starting at 5pm. This will be first come first served, so get there early and bring your instrumental track on a flash drive. The mic will be open from 6 to 8pm.
In addition, we will have full length featured sets from 8 to 10pm by Kouzen (UnicusHarry x ADY), Mic Dos, and Drunken Monkeee.
We will also be collecting food to support the nonprofit East Side Neighborhood Services, so everyone is encouraged to bring non perishable food items to donate if you can.
Urban Lights is the last Black-owned record store in Minnesota and has been in business since 1993. We will have collection buckets on hand for anyone who wants to make a cash donation to support the store, as well. We sincerely thank them for their support of this event and the local music scene.
