Ars Nova Goes to the Movies.
For a hundred years, the power of the moving picture has been carried by the sound of singing voices. In this musical montage, Ars Nova presents a selection of choral music as it has migrated from the silver screen into the soundtrack of popular culture — works written especially for film, alongside classic works that film scores made unforgettable.
We are joined by special guest artist MinTze Wu, violin. A native of Taiwan and deeply rooted in the chamber music tradition, MinTze interweaves words, movement, and theatrical elements into performance, creating a multi-dimensional experience for players and audiences alike. She is Executive & Artistic Director of VOICES, concertmaster of the Aspen Choral Society, and founder of Sounds of Lyons.
