Sound and Somatics

Join Jahara Sara Seitz, somatic occupational therapist, and Jamie Nicole, sound healer and mindfulness teacher, for a luxurious two-hour workshop at a stunning retreat center in Avila, CA.

Our time together will weave mindfulness, sound healing, gentle somatic movement, and self-myofascial release (massage) designed to leave you feeling nurtured, rejuvenated, and aligned with the wisdom of your body. These offerings are trauma-informed and will place an overall emphasis on inner-resourcing.

The priority during this workshop is to facilitate sacred space for you to feel safe, to cultivate a reverent connection to yourself, create opportunity for compassion, and to soften tension in the body.

You will learn simple, gentle somatic movement and self-massage practices designed to release restrictions in the body-wide connective tissue, reduce soreness, pain, or fatigue, improve mobility, and optimize your overall wellness.

You will then be invited to relax in stillness while being bathed in a healing sound bath. A space for you to release the burdens of stress, embody compassionate awareness, and radically accept all parts of yourself.

You are invited to arrive a little bit early or stay later after the workshop to walk the beautiful labyrinth on the land as a way to integrate, reflect, and connect with nature.

A yoga mat

A mug for tea (optional)

A water bottle (there is filtered water available to refill your bottle)

Layers of clothing (to adjust to any temperature changes)

Eye pillow (we will have some available if you don’t have one)

The front gate opens up automatically when you drive up to it.

Follow the wooden signs to Crows End Retreat Center.

Please park in the large lot, before you reach the retreat center building, in front of the labyrinth.

The cottage we will hold ceremony in is the furthest right when looking out from the parking lot and says Crow's End.
