Soul’d Out Productions presents Mark Guiliana at Jack London Revue on December 11.
Grammy-nominated drummer, composer, producer, and bandleader Mark Guiliana brings his boundary-pushing approach to music to Jack London Revue for a rare intimate performance.
Widely regarded as one of the most influential drummers of his generation, Guiliana has built an extraordinary career at the intersection of jazz, electronic music, improvisation, and modern composition. Praised by The New York Times as “a drummer around whom a cult of admiration has formed,” he has collaborated with an astonishing range of artists including David Bowie, Brad Mehldau, St. Vincent, Meshell Ndegeocello, M83, Matt Cameron, and countless other innovators across genres.
Many listeners first discovered Guiliana through his work on David Bowie’s landmark final album "Blackstar," but his own catalog has established him as a singular creative force. Through projects like Beat Music, Mehliana, the Mark Guiliana Jazz Quartet, and a series of acclaimed solo releases, he has continually redefined the possibilities of modern drumming and contemporary music.
In recent years, Guiliana has expanded his artistic vision beyond the drum kit, exploring piano, synthesizers, electronics, and composition on releases including "MARK," "questions (volume one)," and the forthcoming "BEAT MUSIC 2.0." His performances balance virtuosic musicianship with curiosity, spontaneity, and a fearless willingness to explore new sonic territory.
Whether performing acoustic jazz, electronic music, or something entirely his own, Mark Guiliana remains one of the most innovative and compelling artists working today.
