This is a mixed seating event. Some cushions, seating and sturdy chairs provided . We invite you to bring cushions/mats/camping style chairs for comfort and floor seating.

AO Studio has an accessible back entrance and one accessible gender nuetral washroom. The front entrance of AO Studio has 4 stairs into the space.

Adonis Critter King

Adonis Critter King, is a Black and nonbinary, inter-disciplinary poet, writer, theatre creator, director, facilitator, and activist. Their arts practice is rooted in social justice as daily practice, revolution as habit that starts in the home, and QT2BIMPOC safe space curation. Their work uses afro-surrealism, visionary fiction, and The Poetic Surreal to explore the joys and complexities of mad and disabled QT2MBIPOC life, the unsettling nature of becoming, and the difficult choices we must make to liberate our futures.

Cru Alexander Timi

Cru Alexander Timi, also known as Call Me Cat is a Black Queer singer, film maker and multi-disciplinary artist originally from Nigeria. Cru wrote, directed and starred in his short film, Orchidaceae (2023), which was shown in film festivals both in New York and France. Cru's multi-talented artistry combined with his mega watt sunshiney smile and electrifying energy will get you dancing and moving your feet! Cru dreams BIG and inspires all those he meets to do the same. Cru is set to release a visual album this fall and is excited to be pursuing courses at Emily Carr University.

fanny kearse

fanny is a Black-Sapphic-Jewish-Disabled poet, storyteller & educator. fanny’s artivism was incubated during their nearly decade long experiences as a Social Worker & Doula. their he(art) practice thrives at the intersections & ideals of collective joy, pain as a portal to the divine, soft bravery, restorative ritual, the unbecoming of forgiveness, intergenerational liberation & slow activism. fanny holds an AIRS residency, facilitates poetry workshops with Vancouver Poetry House ‘WordPlay’ program & sits on the Curtain Razors arts board. in 2021 they won the Harold Green Theatre Monologue Competition. fanny self-published & released their first book, ‘umi’s prayer’, June 2023. they reside on the unceded territories of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh & Musqueam people with their wife, Jen & fur child, Sully.
