Soul Sanctuary: Crafting Your Personal Oasis

Join us for "Soul Sanctuary: Crafting Your Personal Oasis," a unique therapeutic arts workshop dedicated to Black womxn seeking a compassionate space to rest, reconnect, and create. In this guided session, two experienced art therapists from Audacity 2 Heal will help you build a pocket-sized sanctuary, using art to process emotions, find grounding, and cultivate a felt sense of safety and peace.

We aim to hold space for you to:

• Connect with other Black womxn in a space of mutual support, understanding, and collective healing.

• Participate in an intimate, one-of-a-kind experience and process emotions and feelings related to the current political climate.

• Leave with your own pocket-sized sanctuary—a one-of-a-kind tool that can instill calm and personal reflection.

The $85 registration fee includes a nourishing lunch and all art supplies. With limited spots available, we encourage early booking to secure your place in this supportive and empowering experience.

You are welcome to come as you are; no previous art experience is necessary. Let this time be for you!

• Metered street parking is available on the streets surrounding the main entrance.

• The Congress Heights Metro station is the closest station to the venue (5-minute walk). Take the Green Line towards Branch Avenue to the Congress Heights Metro Station. Choose the escalator marked “Elevator, Parking, Buses, Arena.” Once at the top of the escalator, follow the sidewalk forward and continue as it curves around the parking lot. You’ll continue on the sidewalk and then walk through an iron gate. Make a left on Sycamore Drive, SE, just before the cherry blossom mural. If you reach the mural, you have gone too far.
